Created in 1980, Efeso Consulting is a strategy and organization consulting firm. The Group’s activity is based on three types of services:
– Change management: reorganization, integration of new acquisitions, organization of support functions;
– Improvement of operating performance: product development, sales, purchasing optimization, production and planning functions;
– Strategy advice: investment, acquisition and international development.
The firm has more than 450 employees and is working with 300 customers. It is strongly implanted in Europe, with major positions in France, Italy, Ireland and Benelux. The firm is present in more than 25 countries throughout the world.
As the funds managed by NextStage AM have been shareholder funds since 2009, NextStage’s investment continues to capitalize on the experience of the historical founders and to finance growth while improving the levers of profitability through the integration of non-dilutive Belgian and Irish acquisitions.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of EFESO Consulting since 2007. Born in 1951 in Milan, Filippo obtained his engineering degree at the Milan Polytechnical School. He also received a diploma specializing in production management at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
He founded the consulting firm EFESO Consulting specialized in operational excellence in 1979.
In the last 30 years, Filippo Mantegazza has invested in hundreds of projects on behalf of multinational companies growing in very competitive industrial sectors. Through his projects, he has developed expertise in areas relating to corporate operational excellence: optimization of cost structure, performance improvement, strategic re-centering around the value chain and also process development. After many years working alongside public institutions and international expert consultants (Fuji Consulting, Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance and Richard J. Schonberger, world renowned expert in manufacturing production), Filippo Mantegazza developed and implemented the WCOM (World Class Operations Management) approach whose aim is to catalyze improvement of the operational performance of companies on a worldwide level.
Based on Japanese methods and adapted to Western production systems, the WCOM approach has allowed many companies such as Volvo, Fiat, Unilever, Pirelli, Tetra Pak or Heineken to win the most selective prizes for operational excellence (Quality Award, JIPM Award, EFQM Award, etc.).
Filippo Mantegazza is also the author of many publications and is a renowned speaker in Europe, the Americas and in China.
